Deye 5.12kWh Battery

The Deye 5.12kWh Battery (SE-F5) is a lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery for storing the day's solar and carrying a house through the evening and the night. One of these carries the essentials overnight - lights, plugs, the router, the television and a fridge. Add a second when the geyser or the stove has to stay on as well.

Key Features & Specifications:

• 4.1 kWh Usable - Rated at 5.12 kWh, of which 4.1 kWh is usable - a depth of discharge of 80%. Usable capacity is the figure to size against - it is what you actually get out of it between sunset and sunrise.
• 100 A Charge / 120 A Discharge - Takes charge at up to 100 A and gives it back at up to 120 A, peaking at 150 A for a motor starting.
• 51.2 V Nominal - Operates between 44.8 and 57.6 V, which is the window the inverter has to match - a battery and an inverter that do not overlap here will not work together whatever else they have in common.
• 6,000 Cycles - One cycle is one full charge and discharge. At a cycle a day that is roughly 16 years of daily use before the rated capacity falls away.
• Talks to the Inverter - CAN2.0, RS485, Bluetooth+APP. The battery tells the inverter its state of charge and its limits, so charging stops where it should instead of at a guessed voltage.
• Up to 32 in Parallel - Start with one and add more as the load grows, up to 32 together, without replacing what is already installed.
• The Unit Itself - Rated IP21, 100 Ah, 41 kg. Worth checking against where it is going to live and what is going to carry it.
